About

Aber nicht nur das: Durch den Online-Store hat sich DER KLEINE SALON auch international als Anlaufstelle für styleaffine Eltern etabliert.***DER KLEINE SALON was founded in december 2009 with the intention to upgrade kids fashion in Austria to an international standard and has introduced hip fashionlabels for children in Austria, labels, which already are represented in metropolises like Paris, New York and Berlin. When choosing a new label for our assortment, in addition to style sustainability and fairness are very important – both in materials and production.

Inspired by tendencies and creative trends in their own fields, photographer Carolin Rukschcio and Verena Wibmer-Oppolzer, carefully chose their collection every season. That makes DER KLEINE SALON not only a must-go place for young Austrian parents, but it quickly turned into an international online store with customers from allover Europe, USA, Japan and Korea.

"Our biggest inspiration are of course our own children, who also are the ones testing our products. Even though our products are trendy and sophisticated they have to be comfortable, easy to handle and 'playground-proof'".

DER KLEINE SALON believes in giving children space to create their own fantasy worlds and let them develop their own personality instead of reality-like prints, theme-clothes and as many colours as possible to "stimulate" them. That’s why we love Popupshop’s simplicity, Soft Gallery’s fairytale-like prints, Bobo Choses' inspiring universe and Kidsonroof’s recycle toys which can be used in many different ways and be drawn on.
